Weekly Update and 6/13 Results
Hey folks-
Thanks for another great meet yesterday! Our kiddos swam really well, and we were able to secure our first team win of the season. Thank you families for ensuring your swimmers were on deck and ready to swim at their appropriate times. Your efforts are noticed and deeply appreciated! Meet results are attached to this message.
We will be shifting our focus to this coming week which culminates in our meet on 6/20 against Cross Plains. Please make sure your swimmers are declared as attending or not by 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 6/16. If your swimmer is not declared by then, the coaching staff will assume that your swimmer will not be attending and will plan our meet lineup without them. Here is what we have in store this week:
6/15: Practices shift to the outdoor pool. Angie sent out the practice schedule earlier today. Swimmers will be setting their yardage base for the week.
6/16: We will be focusing on stroke work (drills, starts, turns, etc.) Lower yardage, but high quality work.
6/17: Focus shifts back to higher yardage and some dryland work. Expect your swimmer to be tired this evening!
6/18: More technical work. We have a lot of swimmers who can jump from the blocks, but we would like to get to the point of most swimmers diving. Same goes for flip turns.
6/19: Lower yardage, higher speed work to prepare for our Saturday morning meet!
Thanks for sharing your children with us. We are looking forward to getting to work tomorrow morning!
