Head Coach Heather Frank
As a kid I swam on the local YMCA Swim Team and also in high school. Fitness has always been a big part of my life. Over the years I have obtained certifications in group fitness, personal training and as Spinning Instructor. In 2002 I started competing in triathlons, which brought me back to my love for swimming. Since starting, I have completed 8 Ironman distance races and many other distances as well. In 2005 I earned my USA Triathlon Coaching Certification. I found that I enjoyed coaching "the swim" part of triathlon the best. At age 7 my son, Sebastian, started swimming on youth team and my daughter, Eva, quickly followed after him. I was asked to help out, and earned my USA Swim and ASCA Certification. I have coached at club, Tri-County, girls and boys high school and Master Levels.
For the past 2 years I have been the Head Coach of the Baraboo Boys High School Swim Team. My daughter, Eva (13) has been swimming on the Baraboo Area Makos USA Team the past 2 years and will be attending Baraboo High School next year to swim on the Girls high school team. I am honored to be a part of the Baraboo Swim Culture.
My philosophy is to not only teach swim skills and healthy competition to my swimmers, but also life skills. Integrity, character, and team. I coach to see athletes grow. There is nothing more gratifying to me than to see the smile, and celebration when they achieve what they thought not possible. "Be better than average"
