Riptide End of Season: Awards Pickup, Looking ahead and Amazon Smile

Hello Riptide Families

Awards Pickup

If you were unable to attend the end of season awards night on Wednesday August 3rd please make time to stop at the outdoor pool and check the Riptide Ribbon Box for any ribbons, certificates, conference medals and/or team picture packets.

Please do this before August 21 as that is the last day the outdoor pool is open for the year.

Looking ahead to next season

As mentioned at the awards night ceremony  we are looking for new volunteers to join the parent committee or take on a bigger role in some of very important volunteer jobs that make this team run such as clerk of course lead, becoming a swim official or learning more about how scoring and meet set up works using the computer software.

To continue the success of the Riptide program new leadership is needed.  2023 will be my last season leading Riptide and I really want to have someone at least shadow me before I move on.

Like all well run youth organizations when a child ages out of the program the parent volunteer also leaves.  This will be the case for myself and my wife Sue after the 2023 season.  So please think about learning something new and help continue the success of the Riptide program it gets ever closer to its 40th year of existence.

This program needs the many talents our volunteer swim parents have to offer.  So don't be afraid to get involved.  If you don't want to do it alone ask a friend to get involved with you. Learning together is a great option and a huge benefit to the continued success of the program and all those involved.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.  I'll be happy to answer them the best I can.
